WHAT TO EAT & DRINK IN TOKYO
In a world run by Instagram trends and viral TikToks, it’s hard to keep up with the ever-evolving rules and innovations. Enter: Holly Liss Jammet, social media savant since the birth of social media. While we were all stuck learning the do’s and don’ts of emoji usage and best photo editing practices (how much grain is too much?), Holly was always one step ahead. Before “social media strategy” was part of a job description, she helped create an online presence for brands like Helmut Lang, Theory, and Gwyneth Paltrow’s goop. After getting a taste of industries from food to lifestyle to fashion, Holly broke away from in-house work in 2015 to found ENLISST, a strategic social media consultancy, where she has advised quite the roster of clientele from The Yes and All Sorts Of, to Carats & Cake, Misi and her husband’s company sweetgreen.
Social media is the tip of the iceberg for Holly. Her creative fervor extends into fashion, food, and art, and she has the Instagram feed to prove it. And where does a gal like Holly go for a creative energy reset? The top destination on her list is Tokyo, Japan. “Tokyo is the city where I feel most alive and centered. It’s the most sensory - everything I eat, feel, see, and experience in this city sparks my creativity, expands my consciousness, and fills my tank. It had been on the top of my bucket list for many years, but it wasn’t until I met my husband Nicolas, that I finally got to experience Tokyo’s magic. Every trip I make, I want to extend. There is an endless amount to discover and I always feel like we are barely scratching the surface each trip, even though our Tokyo recs list keeps on growing!"
Holly let us pick her brain for her top spots in the city to drink up and chow down. “Once the world opens again, it will be the first international trip we take. CAN’T WAIT.”
